My husband, Martin, holds a special place of honor on these pages since for the more than 60 years we have been married, his devotion, support, interest and enthusiasm in my professional life has never waned. His intellect, wonderful humor, insight and guidance has been a source of unlimited inspiring conversations. We were both students when we met, but we managed to work through set backs and disappointments to reach our professional goals and I am so proud of his contributions as he is of mine.
