As a guest curator for the Pence Gallery in Davis, California, I had a chance to work with regional artists who expressed provocative themes in their work and were in keeping with my overall aesthetic and view of what art is for. The show also coincided with John Natsoulas’ Annual California Conference for the Advancement of Ceramic Arts (CCACA) which is a lively event of lectures, demonstrations, exhibitions and lots of partying.
